Born and raised in the Streets of Paddington, West London. Where music was a big part of people’s everyday lives, including yours truly. From an early age I was surrounded by the eclectic sounds of the late 60’s & early 70’s & dived in with both feet. By the time I was in Secondary School my musical tastes had been defined. I got heavily into Soul, Jazz Funk & Boogie, I was a proper little Soul Boy. Listening to pirate radio stations at the time, with my metal coat hanger in hand trying to improve & strengthen the signal coming out of stations like Radio Luxemburg with Tony Prince, Radio Invicta with their host of brilliant DJs including my all-time favourite DJ on the radio Steve Devone. Along with the strong & excellent signals (no hanger required) of Capital Radio with Greg Edwards, Radio London with Robbie Vincent, I was good to go. Jumping forward when I left school, I got into sounds systems, I’ve been in 2. firstly, FutureBeat Roadshow with my schoolmate & lifetime partner in crime David “Morpheus” Alleyne & then with The FunBunch with 2 other Uber Cool school friends Dennis “DTM” Grey & Darren “Daz-I-Que” Benjamin, playing the very best in Soul, Hip Hop & other musical styles. With the FunBunch I really came into my own. Although we are no longer active we have done a great many memorable functions, including over 30 years at Notting Hill Carnival. I also since the early 90’s have worked for a Disco Agency Sibbo’s Discos (AKA GP Discos in recent times). I could write more but it already feels like I’ve done a version of War & Peace.
